Internet explorer cannot display web page

I am using vista Home premium with IE8,using ME.Recently I am getting issues with Home page & most of other websites during internet.I am not able to connect to most of the sites many times,It shows Internet explorer cannot display web page.i have tried out everything including Microsoft FIX IT tool.But issue is still same.Most of the times I am not able to connect to my homepage & other websites.
what's the solution?

Internet Explorer really sucks! I hate using it, I'd rather use either google chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Both web browser works great for me!

I agree with you. I use Firefox. It has Less chance of crashes than IE and protects or foretells the user if there is a threat on the site it is being directed to.

Some time it have problem with the internet explorer to open some websites because of it have many reasons. Some websites are not supported in internet explorer and also some old internet explorer not display some websites.

I use Firefox or Chrome... I do not like to use Explorer...it has a lot of weaknesses..
