accessing US TV and retail web sites from overseas

Hi everyone- I am new to this list. Does anyone know a Vista friendly way for me to access US TV (NBC/ABC) as well as US shopping sites from overseas? I am being blocked from accessing the Sears website because I reside outside the US. Likewise, we're usually blocked from accessing the Olympics tv coverage in the US.

Thanks in advance

PS I'm told to use an IP anonymizer but it's a mindfield out there and I can't tell what is legite and what's not.
