Page load errors on random websites

I've been getting page load errors on certain sites, regardless of whether I use Firefox or IE8. Pinging the sites results in 100% packet loss. However, I am able to access these sites from a different machine on the same network using either of these browsers but running XP instead of Vista.

Some of the sites I tried to ping, for reference:

Fixed it myself. The problem was apparently with my wireless adapter's driver, I found a modded driver, installed that, and now it works perfectly.

The adapter, for reference, is an "Atheros AR928x".

I have tried most things. It is related to individual machines as we have other on our home network that work fine on Linkedln. I changed the router yesterday and I can now access Linkedln full speed with no problems. Suggest its something to do with the router settings.
