Explorer 8, (not Responding)

hello

At least once a day i get INTERNET EXPLORER (not responding) the version i have is 8.0.6001.18702, this is what i got with the laptop, as it is only a few days old, the only thing i have done so far is disabled the google toolbar, to see if that was the problem, but no luck , as its just stopped responding now.

Is there anything i can do besides uninstalling it and going to IE 7.
i also have firefox, but i need explorer for some course work.

"Ps" i have also , just set all .to be viewed in compatibility view to see if that helps..
