Bullets displayed as a lambda sign

On some websites using bullets in lists, the bullets are shown as a lambda sign. It's the only visible error I've noticed so far.
Have tired everything (to my knowledge) and searched anywhere, but it seems to be impossible to find a solution.

Would be nice if somebody here have a solution.

This just happened to me. The problem appeared to be that disk cleanup had compressed the wingding.ttf font. To fix it, I did Start/Run %windir%\fonts, selected Wingdings, right-clicked and went to properties, then advanced, and unchecked the option to compress the file. Reloading IE after that fixed it.
