After Updates I can't access the web!! Please Help

After updating I can't access any webpages, but the internet is connected. I can still access emails via outlook and connect to MSN but i can not get the web to work. I tried updating exlorer to version 8 and downloaded Firefox, but nothing would work. I tested the internet connection and that is working fine. I have had to set my pc back to an earlier date just to access the internet to find an answer to my problem


Please can any one help, i'm at a complete lose.
