Network Connection "Identifying... (Public network)" problem
Hello,
My first post...I have been working with the problem for toooo long. I have a new HP Pavillon DV9700 series laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium. I can connect to the internet via wireless and via ethernet. However, the Network and Sharing Center continues to state "Identifying ... (Public network)" and "Limited Connectivity". I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1. I have looked and looked for an answer and cannot find one. As I said it work, but the internet icon always shows a yellow exclamation and the screen diagram shows and yellow exclamation and a red 'X' to the internet (but it works). I suppose I could just not worry but when I have real connection problems, I see no difference, so I would like to understand how to fix this.
Any ideas would be more than welcome. Thanks you.
