Internet is being confusing!

Hello all. I am having a problem which i've never incountered. I have a laptop running vista, and it's connected to wireless at my house. When click IE it comes up with the "cannot display the webpage" BUT my connection says it's connect with the linksys. It doesn't say there is a limited connection like it does whenever this problem usually occurs. So I'm really confused to why this is happening. Thanks for any suggestions!

open internet explorer --go to tools --> Internet Options--> Advanced----> click on "Reset" button and then restart Internet explorer and again
Check Internet options--> Connections --> LAN Connections and none of the options should be ticked. .... If you do these both it should work ....
