I am a part of a Start-Up that developed for the last 18 month Free Wifi Concept.
The way it works, is by software only, upgrade the laptop to become also a WiFi router.
That means, that when you'll come to my vicinity with your laptop or other WiFi device, you'll see Bzeek Free Wifi network, and you'll be able to connect freely without any code. (even if my laptop is connected to a secure router).
The same applies when each of us will be in the vicinity of anyone else with Bzeek software.
A few main features:
The software is fully secured. i.e. when you surf through my laptop, actually you are "tunneled" to the Internet, without being able to go to my laptop or my private network.
Currently, the software upgrades approx. 30% of the laptops, which means that only these laptops will transmit Bzeek network. However, all laptops and devices could connect through Bzeek network.
In the near future other applications will arrive.
