Hi...
I have a new HP m8330f-32 bit operating system-quad core. Vista Home Premium is installed on it.
I've had nothing but problems since I got it a few weeks ago and now I wish I would have tried to find another computer with XP instead of Vista. I have a HP laptop with Vista also and I'm not happy with that either.
The major problem is the internet connection speed. My old Dell XP computer is lightening fast when connecting. The Vista is still 'connecting' and that was about 1/2 hour ago. When I finally get Vista to connect to say Google for example and I do a search, that too takes extremely long.
The XP and the Vista desktop are connected to the same router and the laptop is wireless. I have HughesNet as my server and have had no problems with them or my connection while using my XP.
Will Vista always be this slow to connect? If so, how can I uninstall Vista and install XP onto my HP's or is it too late. Are there any fixes for the Vista to connect quicker?
Another problem I'm encountering is the difficulty in getting Windows Mail to send and receive my emails faster than they are now. Again, the XP sends mail immediately when I 'send' and the Vistas take up to 10 minutes to get the emails out and some emails aren't coming in.
Would installing the Office 2007 make any difference on the connection speed and email service or am I just being too hopeful?
Please help...this is so frustrating.
Thanks.
