IE7 not allowing me to fully access my company's web email server
My company's email server requires that you use IE only. As long as I have IE6, I can fully send and receive. Vista will not allow IE6. I am allowed to go to my company's web email version (2003) and I can read the email. If I attempt to reply or write, the browser goes into grey, a window comes up with 2 choices: End the program or Search the Internet for the problem and end the program. Of course, any of those choices ends the program. My company's IT guy said he can use IE7 at home, but he is on the very friendly Windows XP which only requires an XMIME update and IE7 is good to go. The Internet blogs say give up and take off Vista. Is there some very clever person out there that at least can tell me exactly what is happening even if there is no solution? BTW, Outlook will not work at all unless we are within our firewall on office computers. Does that give more hints as to why my company's server settings or whatever are so restrictive? Thanks
