Vista won't connect to the Corporate LAN into the Internet

Vista Internet Connection Problem
I have a new HP laptop with Vista.

There was a problem connecting to the Corporate LAN in late March for almost two weeks which resolved itself after a short power failure.

On Monday all of our Vista enabled computers cannot connect and IT's solution is to replace Vista with XP.

The Lap top works fine at home and at one of our satellite plants.

I have tried to find some information here with no success.

Can some one help with some suggestions that I can give to our IT guy?

Its Magic. Suddenly it stared working again with no known reason.

Will be keeping track.

Does not seem to be a very popular subject here on the board.
