Page loading / automatic redirection problem

I'm suddenly experiencing problems when trying to access certain webpages in Internet Explorer 7 and I'm not sure what's causing it (I'm not very technical!)

When trying to access sites such as Hotmail or Facebook, the page keeps loading up blank but says done in the bottom corner. I've also noticed that if I click a link in an email, it will quite often bring up a blank page but says done, this has happened with Paypal. The other thing is that when I'm on a page and it says I'll automatically be redirected, this is not happening, so I'm not sure if it's something to do with the automatic redirection settings? I'm not sure how to change these or even if this is the problem.

I've had a look around for some solutions and I've tried deleting the temp internet files, cookies and browsing history and I've also tried resetting the Internet settings, neither of these solutions have worked, so I'm looking for some advice please!
