IE8 no longer META REFRESHes web site ??

Hey guys.

I have a web page that I let run that refreshes itself using the META tag:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="660;URL=www.web_site_here.com">

This worked great in IE7 for months, no problems. The day I let Vista upgrade to IE8, the refresh stopped working. It still displays the site, just doesn't refresh.

I'm thinking it's an IE8 setting? Already checked under Security>Internet>Misc for the META REFRESH Enable/Disable option and it's set Enabled, so that's good.

Any thought?

Did you ever figure out what was going on?

I am experiencing the same problem. Meta refreshes that work in other browsers don't work in IE8 but they are enabled in IE8 security tab. Here is my meta tag.

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10; URL=http://www.google.com" />
