IE8 crashes even with Kaspersky disabled

Hi,

I noticed that when the KB963027 update was installed my IE7 crashed with the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I uninstalled the update and IE7 came back to life. I then disabled Kaspersky, reinstalled the update, and IE7 still didn't work. It only worls with the update uninstalled.

So, with IE7 functioning I decided to install IE8 with Kapsersky disabled. IE8 crashed with the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

There is obviously a conflict somewhere but I can't work out where. I have disabled most of the add-ons in IE8 but still no good.

Any advice?
