Internet Explorer 8 keeps shutting down

Im recently upgraded to IE8, & since my browser doesnt load and security sites such as your 'internet account site' shut down. i dont know if im missing a patch or wat but i dont see the point of it, if u need to keep press the compatibility button. Im running vista SP1 & with all letest updates except SP2, but i dont think i need it. any advise is appreciated

I have upgraded to IE8 twice with the same bad results...I attempt to run any video from IE8 and IE8 Crashes. It did it both times i installed IE8. I then went back to IE7 with no problems at all. I run IE7 now and i am very happy with it.
