Reinstalled Vista Home Premium - cannot boot past Error Recovery - HP G70 laptop (w/coffee spill)
Hello,

I have a HP G70 laptop that had a coffee spill. It had used Vista Home Premium from the factory. I had its hard drive physically removed and transferred to an external drive, then had it reinstalled. The keyboard was ruined by the spill, and have an external keyboard plugged into the USB port.

Using the built in recovery was unsuccessful. I bought the Vista Home Premium Recovery Kit set of DVDs from HP (which included an application and driver recovery CD) and received them earlier today. When turning on the computer, I get a loud beep until moving past the screen that accompanies the sound. However, after some time I was able to get past this where the discs ran and seemingly completed the installation. Things looked like they might have been fine at that point.

I cannot get the computer to boot past the black screened "Windows Error Recovery" window. It gives me some various options, but none of which seem to get me to do much of use with the computer.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
