Hardware problems ??
I installed a Radeon graphic card, installed the cd it came with, but when I start my computer up it prompts me about new hardware found, when I click to install it says a problem occured installing the hardware. Its a Radeon x1300. I have a 3800+ core processor, a 2.00 ghz and 896 MB of RAM. Most newest video games run slow on my computer. Any advice on what I can buy to upgrade my computer for newer games? I was thinking about buying a Alienware computer. Any thoughts?

Re: Hardware problems ??
There *may* be a setting for "shared memory"...set that to NONE. And look for a setting called "Initial display" (or something similar) & change that to PCI or AGP, depending on which slot your card uses.

You need to go into safe mode & delete the drivers you installed. Then boot into normal mode & let Windows automatically load the standard VGA driver. THEN you can install the ATI drivers.
