HELP ME!!!! Vista Blue HP welcome screen freeze

Everytime I turn on my vista, it shows the blue HP with Press F11 for menu and stuff. It only works for like a split second and then it freezes so I can't even get anywhere else. What should I do?

Maybe you should check if your system partition is still there and if you could see the content in it. If you cannot see it, I think there is something wrong in your system. You could only reinstall your operation system.
Sometimes I will back up my disk to an image and if my system broken or data loss I will restore it. Nowadays there is much freeware to back up. I'm using EASEUS Todo Backup to back up my disk. I think this is a good practice routine.

Unplug the Hard Drive and check if you past the post and get to a windows that tells you "Operative System Not Found".

If you past the main blue window, and get to the "Operative System Not Found". that could mean problems with the HDD.

You can also use a booting Windows CD to check if you can access the cd with the HDD installed. If it works only without the HDD installed. This again could mean HDD is starting to die.

Can you access your BIOS? If so check if your bios version has a Check Hard Disk or Hard Disk Test
