Advice please about wireless pci card

I've bitten the bullet and decided it's time to get serious and try Linux via PC-BSD. I've read numerous reports of problems regarding linux drivers. I'm intending to obtain a wireless router and suitable pci wireless card. Favourite at the moment is the Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter card. Does anyone have experience of this card? Any recommendations regarding a proven alternative would be welcome.
