Epson Scanner in Vista 64-bit

Epson Perfection 1650 scanner in Vista
Epson USA does not have a 64-bit scanner driver. I was told that Epson UK has a Vista [ that will work with 64-bit. I did download a 64-bit driver from Planet64amd, but the user interface sucks. I cannot scan directly to the printer.
Any suggestions as to how to use my Epson Perfection 1650 scanner on Vista 64-bit. It is a new so I do not have any Epson software previously installed.
I just need to be able to scan directly to the printer.

You might want to see if either Epson USA offers or you can find a Windows XP 64bit driver for that scanner. Sometimes you are able to get away with using 64bit XP drivers with Vista 64bit.
