Mouse Not Working - Receiver does not light up "green" for "MS wireless notebook optical mouse 4000"
receive does not light up for "MS wireless notebook optical mouse 4000" I have been using a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000 on a MacBook with OS 10.4.11. To turn off the mouse, the receiver is usally tucked into the bottom of the mouse. The last time I took out the received, the green light on the received did not light up. I have tried holding the connect button on the receiver and then holding the connect button on the mouse. I have reinstalled the mouse driver from Microsoft. Also, I have tried the receiver and mouse on a different computer. The only thing I still suspect causing the mouse to not work is Microsoft mentioned the connect button on the mouse may be locked into the "off" position. I've tried various ways to move the connect button -- making sure to not break it. I don't see a way into the mouse to fix the button.
Does anyone have an experience with this problem?
