Closing lid, get "harddisk not found... no bootable devices."

This is on my Dell Inspiron 1525 with Vista 32. I have spoken with Dell numerous times about this, in vain. This happens when I close the lid: the fan makes a lot of noise, the computer beeps, and when I reopen this message is on a black screen, requiring me to restart. The issues with the computer have gotten so bad that sometimes when I even move the lid, it restarts.

Does anyone have any idea what to do about this? I have also spoken with Windows, and short of reinstalling everything, they have no answers for me. I am still under warranty, though it wouldn't appear to help me at all.
