I have a lovely new Macbook, nice but I can't find the printer on my vista network. I can see the Mac from pc.
This is what I've done ...
In "finder" I select "go" then "connect to server" then type in smb://pc name(or IP) and hit "connect"
sometimes it prompts for name and password (I assume name & pw on pc) a popup box then askes me to select the volume to mount - BUT THE BOX IS EMPTY (usually) Once it gave me the choise of "users" and I got a connection, however the folders that the mac saw were all empty.
The frustration is the variability of the mac response as well as the non connectivity. Can anyone help me please?
