Vista Ult 64 will not allow me to select a driver

New to Vista (pray for me).

Acer monitor seen as Generic PnP. I have the driver from Acer and attempted to update the driver via showing Vista the location. It states best driver is already installed.

All resolutions appear to be available through the 9800GT control panel.

Thoughts?
