2nd monitor won't wake!
hi! I'm having some trouble with my dual monitor setup. I'm running a NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT. I have my main monitor hooked up via VGA. The second monitor is hooked up via a VGA to DVI adapter. The monitor is a VGA. The problem I am having, is although the Nvidia control panel recognizes both the monitors, the second one will not come out of standby mode. This is bugging me, as I want to run media center via this monitor. I have a basic knowledge of computers, and a ****house knowledge of Google.. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! Gavin ... p.s, im sure i paragraphed this...

Hi Gavin,

There are quite a few possible reasons why you're having no luck so it's best to start with the basics.

You say that both monitors are recognised by Windows. I presume if you right click on the background, select Personalise->Display Settings, the dialog will show two monitors marked 1 and 2? If so, can you select the second display from the drop down? If you can, have you selected the "This is my main monitor" and "Extend the desktop onto this monitor" options appropriately?

Have you tried booting with only your second monitor connected? Did you see your BIOS messages appear? Could you see Windows after it booted?
