DVD Burning

Hello all , It seems my LG DVD RW Drive won't play or read DVD's or Roms but will play my CD's.
I also can't burn anything at all in Windows or Burn4free , Deepburner
or burnaware they all say no media in drive , but there is a DVD+R or CD-R in
the Drive.
I updated the driver (HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA 4106B ATA) AND TRIED TO UNINSTALL AND RESTART AND IT LOADED THE NEW DRIVER BUT IT STILL WON'T WORK.
Also if a disc is in the drive and I Right click the D drive in the Computer Window to read want is in the drive the blue wheel of hell just spins , and it says Not Responding ,if I eject the Disc the window works again.

Make sure the dvd mediayou are using are free from scratches and smudges on the outer rim when burning.I used to have some dvd-Rs here that have small scratches on the outer rim, it burned successfully with my PX708UF but when i tried playing it back,the last few chapters were freezing and skipping when i carefully examine the disc there were few unburned area due to the small scratches on the disc from the 25pcs of dvd-r i bought there were almost 6 disc i found to have small scratches.So i recommend checking the disc first for small scratches to have a successful burn.
