SATA controller card sees but wont access drive
Vista Home Premium 64bit

Havening maxed out the SATA ports on my Mo Bo I put in a PCI express controller card from Silicon Image (card3132). Vista recognized it and installed drivers automatically. It does show up in the hardware profile and even added an SATA controller icon in the control panel where I can conceivably monitor and control raid configurations however the only thing I can apparently do in this app is update the bios of the card. The hard drive I have attached to the card shows up in the app in channel 1 target 0 but I cant seem to do anything with it other than look at it's specs. The drive isn't accessible from explore.

I have my main drives running on a raid 5 and I wanted this extra drive to appear separate as an additional drive, no raid involved. What I believe is happening is that the drive Vista automatically installed (sil softraid 5 controller 1.5.10.0) wants to run the drive in raid format but can't access it because there is only the one drive in the config. There is no forum on the Silicon Image website and the only support amounts to various drivers you can dl and try. None other than the one Vista automatically grabbed will even install. I just want to run the drive itself. Any ideas?
