Re: Vista is not seeing my DI 624 DLink router
I suppose you are now connected to the internet by LAN.
Try again to connect by Wifi:
BEFORE MAKE SURE THERE IS NO MAC FILTERING ENABELED IN THE ROUTER: YOU CAN SEE THIS BY PHYSICALLY CONNECT A PC TO THE ROUTER AND OPEN YOU'RE INTERNET EXPLORER AND GO TO 192.168.1.1 (OR SOMETHING LIKE THIS, CHECK YOUR MANUAL) AND ENTER THE SETUP PAGE OF YOUR ROUTER.
1)
Make sure your connection type in "Network Center" is set to private otherwise you won't be able to see other computers, printers or routers in your network.
2)
Make sure your windows firewall isn't blocking anything, you maybe can turn it off for a while.
3)
Make sure other installed firewall(s) are trusting the network completely. I'm using Norton: I had to set it to trust the network completely, otherwise there's no way to connect or even to see the wifi- router.
Hope it works for you...
