Video devices information in registry
For sometimes I am analyzing windows registry to find video related information. I have some question regarding the windows registry for video devices, please help me by providing some information.
Questions are:
1. How windows [vista] populate video device registry [HKLM\Deviemap\video\.... \0000]?
2. The unique ID[KEY] defined in the registry entry for video [ ..\video\KEY\0000], is defined by the miniport driver ?
3. Does this key is anywhere related with childid of particular graphics devices?
4. Can we add a new video device on run time or how can we add a new display device [we can see in display setting]?
