YouTube Lets Commenters Hear Their Own Gibberish

A new button in YouTube's comment interface plays back the user's comment as an audio file -- an idea originally proposed in the xkcd web comic. The hope is that users will scrutinize their own words before posting, but whether that will curb the famously abusive and inane comments on YouTube remains to be seen.
