Mobile Dirty-Bomb Detectors Patrolling in New Jersey
Nuclear Chemists at Livermore Lab have designed a mobile radiation detecting truck that can spot a sand-grain-sized amount of radioactive material 12-feet away at 45 miles per hour. The trucks have been deployed in New Jersey for a year and in one other unidentified western state.
