I have a problem with 2007 Outlook running on Vista. Recently I purchased a new Dell laptop Vostra 1520 came loaded up with business MS Office etc. Outlook has been perfect until yesterday when it decided that it would not recognise a new email address when typed in the addressee field manually. I try to send the email but the tell tale underscore of the email address doesn't happen, it's almost as if it doesn't recognise the format. When I attempt to send I get an error message from 'Microsoft Office Outlook' saying 'The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.'
I can send and recieve all other emails no problem.
I can send emails to existing contacts in address book but I can't add and save new ones. I can reply to an email from a new or existing email address. I can't save appointments in calendar......
I have downloaded SP2 upgrade Feb 09 in the hope of a fix - still no joy
Making me a most unhappy bunny! If anyone can throw any light on this mind boggling problem I would be most grateful!!
Thanks
Mike
