Oblivion Issues

I just got Oblivion GOTY 2 days ago (3/13/10) and I installed Discs 1 and 2 and when I try to play Oblivion (on my laptop), it comes up with the little window on the top left and then a pop-up shows up saying "Oblivion has stopped working."

I am having the exact same problems with the same laptop. Only difference is I have upgraded to Windows 7.

Please help. :/
