Links 2003

I recently got a new computer that came with Vista. I attempted to install my copy of Links 2003, but Vista, for some unknown reason, didn't recognize disc 2, so would not install (I installed it on an external hard drive using XP and had no problem). I got it to start using my new comp, but when I go to create a new player, it crashes Links. (Error details as follows...)

I had some players saved on my XP comp, and I copied the save files to various locations on the vista comp as best as I could figure where they might be read, but to no avail. I need to know what directory vista saves the player and game files so that I can hopefully get it to work...whats the point in buying a new comp if you have to use the old one to run your favorite programs?
