How to I change my setting to automatically go to the most recent Sent Item?

My Inbox still goes to the last e-mail received, but other folders default
to the oldest.

page won't scroll when composing new email msg.

When I am creating a new email message, my message will not scroll
by itself when I get to the bottom of the window. How can I adjust
it to scroll as I type? Thank you.

Delete an Email; I don't want the next message to open

Hi Gary-

I never use the preview pane.

I doble-click to open a message. After I'm done reading it, I click on
DELETE. The next message in my inbox opens up.

I DO NOT want to have to close the email and then delete it...I want to be
able to delete the message without having the next message opening.

I know this can be done in Outlook. How can I configure my setting in
Windows Mail so that the next email message won't automatically open?

E-mail to self not received as well. Many recipients not receiving so I do
not believe the problem is on recipients end.

Unknown error message in Windows Mail

Your mail account settings are correct.
"Unknown error" is usually caused by interference from an
antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:

Deleting email

I assume you are reading each message in its own window by double-
clicking on it. If so, when done reading that message, close the window,
then delete that message from the message list pane.

I have resent two e-mails. One from my wifes account (used the on-line
version to by pass our PC. The second direct from my account on the PC.
My message got there othe one from here account hasn't got there. The
address sent to is a hotmail account

Changing content of attachments in received mails

You cannot do it. Save the attachment then change it and then send it.
Outlook is part of the Office suite of programs and allows this. OE and
WinMail do not.

Ladysavana, the easiest way is to install Windows Live Mail:

which will step you through the process of getting a new Live.com
email address.

I see you posted with a Yahoo email address. Is that your only email
address? US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no
POP access. Windows Mail handles POP mail but not Yahoo webmail.
Yahoo's solution is to pay them for premium "Mail Plus" service:

and use the special settings for that service:

If you are OK with using a non-Yahoo email address, you have these other
solutions that will work with Windows Mail:
* Use the email address assigned to you by your ISP.
* Use a free Gmail, AOL, or Hotmail/Live account.

You can also continue to use Yahoo's webmail: http://mail.yahoo.com

First, you needs to fix your computer's time zone setting.
It is set for US Pacific time zone (the default), while you are actually
located in the Philippines. This causes your posts to appear 16 hours

Who provides your email service? Or to ask that question another way,
what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?

and then scripts will be blocked. Or read his email in plain text only.
