I want to set up a VPN connection, but I get a message that my 'modem has been removed'.....I have no idea what that means and how do I fix it?

Also, bottom right, I have an icon with a red cross and it tells me that I am not connected to any network...I clearly am on the internet, so where is my connection gone?

well..i have also same problem last month...i have setup all windows again with new network connection then connect to net .try it then reply
