Deleted Documents Folder HELP!!

I recently deleted a short cut to my Documents folder on the tool bar and it deleted all my documents folders content. How can I get back my most important files? Help please, this is very serious. I am a student and this is my MS degree. I appreciate your time and concern. Thank you.

Have you tried locating the folder in Windows Explorer (Win+E key)?
- look for it under your "user" section under C:\. When found rt click on it and choose to make a shortcut which you can place wherever you like-such as your desktop. Sivadder

My Pleasure, and, your experience is recognition that people tend to forget that most everything you see on the Desktop are mere Shortcuts rather than 'real' files. You can check their 'genes' by right-clicking on the icon and choosing "Properties" from the drop-down menu. If it is 'real' the file location on the hard drive will be shown. Have a nice day,
