Run DOS in full screen under wondows vista

I have been trying everything I know including DOSBOX to run DOS in full screen with no success. Does anyone or does microsoft vista have a solution on how to fix this problem? Being a retired consultant I have quite a few systems I developed under DOS that I still have to maintain. I bought myself a new laptop with windows vista and its been the sorriest day. I have been going thru hell trying to run my DOS applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
