usbstor.sys causing slow hibernate
Lately my computer will not stay in sleep mode. It keeps waking as though the mouse was moved or a keyboard entry had occurred.
I read where too many auto tasks could cause this and have disabled several but the problem still exists.
I also have noticed that the computer has become slow and somewhat unstable. While performing some system tests, a performance issue informed me that usbstor.sys driver is causing windows to standby or hibernate slowly. It says that if the driver is no longer used to consider uninstalling it.
Is this a needed driver and if so what other options do I have to correct the problem?
Thanks
