Common Problem - Vista Upgrade, No Audio
I've read about this over 100 times, but with no fix so far. My Sony VGC-RA840G Desktop crashed. I went from XP MC to Vista Premium. Three problems with upgrade -
1) Media Card doesn't work ! no drivers available for upgrade
2) HP ScanJet doesn't work. No drivers available for upgrade
3) HD Audio doesn't work. No audio. X on speaker on task bar.
If I could just get the audio to work I would be happy. I called Sony about the audio issue and after two hours, I was told that there is no audio drivers currently available from Sony to make it work. I've tried Yahoo, Google, Microsoft, Sony for a fix, but deleting the audio drivers and installing different ones that were recommend hasn't fixed the problem. Does any one have any new ideas? FYI - HP's fix for the scanner is to buy another one. It would probably be bad business for them to update their drivers.
