Quickbooks 2001 - need help to install
Hi, I am new to the forum and not particularly knowledgeable about computers. I am having trouble installing my QB 2001 version on my Dell with Vista. I have found a couple of work arounds, however, I cannot replicate the solutions, mainly because I do not entirely understand them. When I inserted the install CD and hit "install" I got a message that "Quickbooks 2001 CD (Not Responding)".
I then tried to run the QB installer by going in at "d:\qbooks\setup.exe" as administrator. Installation started and everything looked good and it appeared to be 100% finished - a message came up "there was a problem accessing the fonts section in the Windows registry". I clicked OK and then a message came up that installation was stopped and out I went. Does anyone have some suggestions, bearing in mind, I would need explicit instructions if it involves doing anything with commands. Thanks much.
