Can not view the control panel of my e-mu 0404 usb audio interface on the desktop
Hello everybody,
here is the story:
I could not view the control panel of my e-mu 0404 usb audio interface on the desktop of my notebook. The interface works but i am not able to execute any changes of the parameters. Anyway, two months ago the control panel suddenly appeared. I don´t exactly know what happened. Maybe an update of vista changed a parameter in the registry. So there it was..but..now I have the same problem again. After an update of vista home premium the control panel does not appear on the desktop. There is just the icon at the taskbar. I tried to uninstall the updates but this didn´t fix the problem.
So the emu support team told me to do the following (it did not work out actually):
If you again encounter the same issue on the control panel, you may try this solution.
This method should place back the E-MU applet just off center of your monitor display. Remember to be careful to not change anything else.
* Start – Run or Start – All Programs – Accessories - Command Prompt
* Type: regedit (at the prompt) * Click on the + next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
* Click on the + next to Software
* Click on the + next to Creative Professional
* Click on E-MU USB Audio Control Panel
* Double Click on WindowX (on the right side) which will pull up a window Edit DWORD Value
* Click on the Decimal circle
* Click in the Value data box and set to 100 and then click Ok.
* Double Click on WindowY (on the right side) which will pull up a window Edit DWORD Value
* Click on the Decimal circle
* Click in the Value data box and set to 100 and then click Ok.
* Go to File – Exit of Registry Editor. Also close the Command Prompt Window if open.
* Reboot your PC.
I hope that somebody of you has a solution for this isssue. Thanks!
