Hi, this is my first post and I hope to be a good member of Vistaheads in the future.
I have some serious problems with Vista. I have to disable aero because otherwise I will experience bluescreens saying atidmag.sys stalled. Now with disabled aero and some disabled services following this advice.
With Vista I presume. I 'think' I have finally stopped the NVLDDMKM error. Here is what you need to do.
START/ right click Computer goto Manage/ click Services
Here are the services I have stopped and disabled. You can right click each service and goto properties to disable them.
readyboost
superfetch
print spooler - must be re-enabled and started if you use a printer
server
computer browser
secondary logon
security center
windows error reporting
windows search
windows firewall - must be re-enabled and started to use windows firewall
Good Luck and Welcome to TweakForce.
I have low quality videos with every player eg. vlc 9.2.0, MPC HC x64 v1.1.604.0, Zattoo, and even WMP. Low quality means that there are no blurred pixels, everything is, I call it software scaled.
If I enable aero videos are fine.
I have ffdshow 64 bit installed an it worked fine all the time. The version is ffdshow tryoutts revision 2026 Jun 22 2008 21:42:13 (msvc 2005, x 64, unicode). I don't think it does matter but I hope somebody knows better.
Why is this? Has it something to do with grafik card driver or is it suppose to act like that? My catalyst drivers are 8.9 but I tried older ones and the Vista build in driver after wiping the ATI driver, nothing helped.
Oh, and I have a dual monitor setup primary: CRT @ 1280x960 85 Hz and a TFT @ 1280x1024 60 Hz.
I hope someone has an idea this errors made my system nearly unusable.
