Windows Vista will run in 64-bit. Most 32-bit software is compatible,
including Office. The Adobe apps I've tried all work too. Office 2007
doesn't have a 64-bit binary.

Yes. Windows Vista is a huge improvement over Windows XP. But if you're
going to be using the 64-bit version make sure you have drivers for all your
hardware, as 32-bit drivers won't work on 64-bit.
