Your video card is overheating (most likely). Try opening your case and
sticking a big ole honking fan on your video card, see if that helps.

Which update did you install? Did you try system restore to remove the
update, see if that fixes the problem?

Oh laptop, well that sucks. Could still be a heating problem. Your video
card could be failing at some point. What's the error you're given with
the BSoD? (Usually third line on the blue screen in all caps) Is the
video card or CPU "overclocked" by either you or the factory? What
make/model is your lappy?
