Re: problem with unistalling programes no longer want?
Some programs 'resist' uninstall when Vista is running normally. Try this:
start/restart your computer in Safe Mode (when Vista begins to boot up,
press the F8 key -- you may need to repeatedly press F8; don't worry,
there's no problem doing that; you will be presented with a menu that allows
you to choose a number of different boot options; choose Safe Mode, which
will start Vista with the minimal drivers loaded and services running).
Once you've booted into Safe Mode, try the uninstall process again, just as
you described below. That should remove the entry from the installed
programs list. Then restart the computer normally (without pressing F8).
