Re: Upgrading Vista Home Premium to SP1
If you are yelled at for top posting then ignore them. I'm sorry but I top
post and regardless of who yells at me I will continue to top post! I want
to see a reply instantly, not keep scrolling down through dozens of
paragraphs.

From the winver information, you obviously haven't got SP1 installed.

SP1 will download automatically, however, I'm not sure about the period
being a month - a couple of days maybe but not a month. I'm not sure whether
MS have actually corrected the download of SP1 but if you had certain
drivers (that needed updating) on your machine then Windows Update would not
offer SP1 (take a look at this knowledgebase article
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=948343 ) If your PC doesn't have any of
the mentioned drivers to update and you still haven't had SP1 automatically
download then, as I said in my first post, you can download the standalone
version. This is rather a large download, around 465MB. Just make sure you
download the correct version (usually the 32 Bit)

As I have said I don't use Windows Mail other than for newsgroups. For email
I use Outlook 2007 which works reasonably well for me. The only fault I a
Lycos account I have which Outlook can only access occasionally, but that is
a fault of the Lycos server not Outlook.
