I ran Hijack This and there wasn't anything there that I didn't know
what it was.

I've tried the Dial-a-Fix program that was mentioned in this group -
didn't work, I've tried manually fixing registry entries according to
MS and other tech web sites - nothing
I've unistalled Update, reinstalled, rebooted over and over and still
get the same 1058 Error when I go to start it. Then it imedialtey goes
back to being disabled.

I used to keep the updates turned off mostly anyway - it just really,
really bothers me about this though. The fact can't I can't solve it
no matter what I try.
