I agree, Microsoft would benefit from buying Apple in the long term. They
would get a solid OS they could pander. Apple users would cry foul for
sure. The biggest reason you own an Apple is that MS-Windows isn't good
enough. Easy sell these days.
One real problem though, they would have to admit in public that the
MS-Windows OS (any version) isn't worth a crap going forward. Which might
be the truth, but it will not happen for this reason alone. But monopoly
issues could also hit them.
It would ruin Apple if it ever happened.
